About Me

I earned my undergrad degree in Art History from Dickinson College in 1992. From 1998 to 2000, I served as the Education Coordinator at the William Benton Museum of Art at UConn, Storrs campus. I stayed home to raise my four kids and in 2015 went back to school to get my K-12 Art Teaching Certificate from Central Connecticut State University. After several years of teaching art to elementary and high school students, I had the opportunity to teach drawing for the Vernon Adult Regional Based Education program, and I discovered a passion for teaching adults, which I have continued to pursue since 2017. In the Fall of 2024, I opened Line Studio LLC which has been a dream of mine for many years. I hope to bring a unique approach to teaching drawing to my students for years to come.

At Line Studio, I will foster a vibrant and engaging atmosphere where students can enjoy learning through hands-on experiences. I’m dedicated to growing as an artist alongside my students, which helps create a dynamic and collaborative learning environment. My teaching style is facilitative, encouraging exploration and experimentation- making mistakes in encouraged! By the end of our sessions, you’ll have the tools and techniques you need to make informed artistic decisions and experience personal growth as an artist. I am excited to help your unique style shine through!
